Ceremony
lights up horseshoe
MUSC formally ushered in the holidays with the Annual Holiday Lighting
Ceremony held Dec. 1 at the MUSC horseshoe.
MUSC
students, staff and visitors enjoyed the activities which included music
by the MUSC String Quartet, plus the symbolic lighting of individual candles
and the symbolic Hanukkah menorah, Kwanza mishumaa and the Christmas
tree recognizing the season. Last to arrive was Santa Claus and his merry
MUSC Christmas elves, to spread warmth and cheer to the crowd.
The
event was presented by the MUSC Gives Back Student Volunteer Program. They
would like to recognize Coburg Dairy for providing the milk beverages and
Palmetto Carriage Company for Santa's carriage.
