CAPS is directed by Dr. Darlene Shaw, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Additional Full-time Staff

Dr. Alice Libet, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Kelly Trusheim, Psy.D., a Postdoctoral Fellow completing required training for Licensure and working under the supervision of Drs. Shaw and Libet.

Part-time staff

Two Masters trained Clinical Psychology Interns who participate in the Medical University of South Carolina / Veterans Administration Internship Consortium, and who provide therapy services under the clinical supervision of Drs. Shaw and Libet.

Eight Physicians who are Residents in Psychiatry or in a joint Residency in Medicine and Psychiatry. These Resident Physicians also provide therapy services under the supervision of Drs. Shaw and Libet. Supervision for medication issues is provided by Dr. Christine Pelic.
