The picture on this page is a composite image made from three CAN DO Photographs. The night sky shows Comet Halley as it was photographed from the Kuiper Airborne Observatory during the 1986 expedition to New Zealand. The Earth is a view taken by the GeoCam Payload from STS-57. The foreground is Andros Island in the Bahamas, also taken by GeoCam, and the site of a 1995 marine science expedition.
