Hardy and adventuresome tourists go to the Atacam, some specifically because they want to be far from the beaten track. I was amazed at the number and variety of tours. One tour was even offered for bird watchers because this land, the driest spot on Earth, is also famous for pink flamingos - go figure ??
Several visitors had pages to share their photographs from the Atacam, giving a chance to really see the area from the ground level.
