Now it is time to turn to a SEARCH ENGINE for a complete search on the World Wide Web. A search engine is a special web site that searches for web articles that match key word that you supply. One of the most powerful is Alta Vista:
Alta Vista is a good program to use IF you have unique key words and you use proper technique to limit the search. Otherwise, you will get more “hits” than you could look at in a lifetime. Having found that the most important landmark in the area is the “Salar de Atacama” I have entered it enclosed in quotation marks to search for only the exact phrase. This has produced a manageable 212 hits, many of them useful since the name is unique to this one location.
