The EarthKAM site also provides detailed aerial navigation maps to correspond to the images. These aerial maps are particularly well suited since they are designed to help pilots identify objects as they are seen from the air.

You can superimpose your image on the map. Then use the interactive controls provided to line the image and map up exactly. Controls are provided to move the image and to rotate it. Your students will love this part - it’s almost like a video game.
