If your local community is included in the database you can practice finding your school or home. High Schools are the easiest to find because they usually have football stadiums and the biggest parking lots. Remember, the Terra Server images tend to be 5-10 years old so expect some changes. In fact, looking for change in your neighborhood can be a fun and educational mini-study.

At first you will probably find it necessary to locate some familiar landmark and then “drive” to other locations. Like an early barn-storming pilot you will learn to navigate by using railroads and highways. With practice, the viewpoint will become more familiar.
