SUMMER SOCIAL
Saturday, July 22!
Swimming Rockfish & Shrimp Farm
(aka - Richard & Barbara Eager's Home)
Anyone who didn't make it to this get-together missed some good times, good eats and a very interesting tour of the fish and shrimp farm. We learned that fish, just like people are finding this summer in Charleston uncomfortably hot. Richard and Barbara have been working on their home this year and for those that had come last time, we hardly recognized the house. It is far larger and far higher than before as it has been raised to avoid future floods. It was great to have a social event with no formal meeting , but we all agreed that we need to have Fall retreat to take a look at some long range plans. We need to adapt our strategy to work with the postponements in the Space Station, the decrease in Shuttle Payloads opportunities as well as trying to mesh our efforts more closely to the Standards and to Carol's exciting new initiatives under her new NSF Grant. Watch here for the schedule.
