| Bachelor of Health Sciences Current faculty are listed on the web at http://myprovost.musc.edu/bulletin/#Health_Administration_and_Policy The Bachelor of Health Sciences Program is designed to provide educational advancement to the baccalaureate level for a wide variety of entry-level prepared, credentialed health professionals. These may include, but are not limited to, dental hygienists and assistants, emergency medical personnel, histotechnologists, medical assistants, medical laboratory technicians, health information managers, radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists, radiation therapists, respiratory therapists and technicians, surgical technologists, ultrasonographers, and nurses. Geared to the needs of adult students, the program is available in a full- or part-time sequence and is offered statewide in a weekend and online format in order to accommodate working professionals. The general objective of the program is to assist health professionals in acquiring the knowledge and skills needed for advanced clinical, administrative, and educational roles in their health care disciplines, while enriching their general education through the inclusion of baccalaureate level, non-discipline-specific course work. Students focus on professional skills while broadening their perspective of the arena available for the application of these skills. Inclusion of electives and practicum courses allows students the flexibility to design meaningful educational experiences that will contribute to their specific career goals.
