Graduate Program in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at MUSC

The Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology (DB2E) of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is at the unique conjunction of two NIH training grants and a NHLBI Proteomics Center. This creates a rich environment that provides both the problems and the resources to develop the computational solutions for the next generation of integrated biomarker discovery. The Medical School context of these initiatives adds to the unique intersection of new and abundant molecular data, computational statistics and theory development by providing the opportunity to validate tentative biomarkers of clinical outcome and targets for intervention. As our motto goes, DB2E is a place where Life becomes numbers and numbers come to life.
