Make a Difference: MUSC Children's Hospital - Holiday Card Project - Card of the Season Voting

Broadcast date: 2008-07-02
Link: http://www.musckids.com/mad/cards_2008_vote

YOU will decide the 2008 Holiday Card of the Season. That's right . . . the public will decide who will be the 2008 "Kids Helping Kids" Holiday Card Project Card of the Season.

Five potential Card of the Season pieces of artwork were selected in early June by King Street gallery owner, John M. Dunnan, to compete for the title of Card of the Season. The artists range in age from 7-12 years old and have all been touched by the Children's Hospital in some way. Each child has agreed to participate in this year's project to help others in need, sometimes including those dear to them or as a way to thank the Children's Hospital that has helped them in the past.

Voting for the Card of the Season begins on July 1, 2008 and runs through July 31, 2008.
There are two ways to vote . . . view the original artwork with a visit to the College of Charleston Bookstore, located at 160 Calhoun Street, in downtown Charleston, or vote online at:

Make a Difference: Help in the Fight Against Childhood Obesity

Broadcast date: 2008-06-30

Come join our Heart Health team of volunteers to help fight childhood obesity!

Heart Health is a pediatric weight management program. We offer fitness sessions for our participants and need volunteers to work out with the kids. Volunteers work out with the kids one-on-one or in small groups in a small gym setting.

Sessions are offered weekday evenings and there is no commitment required (just sign up for time slots each week that will be convenient for you).

We prefer that our volunteers have background in fitness, physical therapy, personal training, etc.

If interested, contact Janet Carter, MS, RD, LD, Heart Health Coordinator at 792-4717 or catjan@musc.edu
