In its second year competing in Recyclemania, a nationwide collegiate recycling and waste reduction competition, MUSC has placed in the top 5 of three categories.

Here is how we did after 10 weeks of competition:

Grand Champion: Cumulative Recycling Rate 25.38%

Per Capita: Cumulative Pounds/Person Recycled 54.59
#5 out of 180 schools

Waste Minimization: Cumulative Pounds/Person Waste 215.06
#92 out of 95 schools

Gorilla: Cumulative Pounds Recycled over 10 weeks 555,567

Recycling tip: Are you recycling all you bottles and cans. If not call 2-4119 to request a new bottles and cans recycling bin. We accept plastic #1 and #2, glass, aluminum and steel cans.
