The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Institute of Psychiatry are sponsoring a free, twelve-week educational series entitled, "Family to Family,” beginning Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008. The series is for the families and friends of individuals challenged by severe and persistent mental illness.
The group will meet each Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM through June 18, 2008.
The Institute of Psychiatry will host the program in the 5 North Class Room #526. Parking is free. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

“Family to Family” is instructed by trained NAMI mentors who also have family members with a mental illness. Topics will include: understanding mental illness, diagnosis education, medications, communication skills, crisis management, coping skills and relapse prevention.
