Dr. Ning Zhang won Clemson University Board of Trustees 2008 Award for Faculty Excellence (04.16.09).

Dr. Wen won Clemson University Board of Trustees 2008 Award for Faculty Excellence (04.16.09).

Dr. Wen won the Sigma XI Outstanding Young Investigator of the Year (04.14.09).

Dr. Hsia got an $6M award from Leduoq Foundation on Transatlantic Network of Excellence Program (04.12.09).

Drs. Xuejun Wen and Qian Kang got an award from DOD on the prevention of implant associated infection (03.13.09).

Drs. Qian Kang and Xuejun Wen got an award from DOD on the prevention of heterotopic ossification following battlefield skeletal injury (03.13.09).

A PhD student, Mr. Vince Beachley, at Dr. Xuejun Wen’s lab won the prestigious Page Morton Hunter Bioengineering Graduate Researcher Award (03.10.09).

Former high school trainee at Dr. Wen lab, Mr. Chris Brunson, got accepted by the Stanford University Undergrad Program (06.01.08).

Dr. Wen received March of Dime Award on Hearing Research (04.15.08).

Christopher Brunson’s high school senior thesis  entitled “The effects of transplanting O-2A progenitor cells encapsulated within hydrogels into rats portraying the demyelinated spinal cord model.” won the highest thesis honor from the Academic Magnet High School, Charleston, SC (2.15, 2008)

Dr. Wen named the editor-in-chief of Stem Cell Engineering (1.31.2008).

Dr. Wen received NSF CAREER Award on human stem cell research (1.21.2008).

Drs. Zhang and  Wen got New Concept Award from DoD on Brain Trauma Research (01.10.08).

Drs. Hsia, Wen, and Huang got Basil O'Connor Scholar Award from March of Dime on Biosensor Research (01.05.08).

Dr. Wen got a award from DoD/Office of Naval Research on bone regeneration (01.03.08).

Dr. Wen got his 2nd award from AO Research Foundation on human long bone regeneration (01.01.08).

Dr. Wen got a R21 award from NIH on hearing research (11.01.2007).
