Local Resources · Alliance For Full Acceptance - AFFA is a social justice organization achieving equality and acceptance for gay, lesbian, and transgender people. · Charleston Area Mpowerment Project (CHAMP) - a community building project dedicated to strengthening our community and supporting each other. Peer organized and peer led by young gay and bisexual men between the ages of 18 and 30. · Lowcountry Aids Services - a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for persons living with HIV disease, and providing HIV prevention resources and programs · Southern Boys - A group of fun-loving, mostly-southern gay men who make the rounds to various cities and/or gay events and have organized events for various GLBT charities. · We Are Family - a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing counseling and support services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered youth from 16 to 23 years of age.
