2010 Meeting Information:

PPRNet will host the next Reducing Inappropriate Prescribing of Antibiotics by Primary Care Clinicians (ABX-TRIP) network meeting to be held on Friday, September 24, 2009 at the Embassy Suites Downtown Charleston, SC.  A preliminary agenda will be posted soon. Two hotel rooms will be provided via a rooming list by PPRNet for the night of Thursday, September 23rd for the physician and nurse liaison in the practice participating in the ABX-TRIP project.  Additional nights stay are at your cost. Room rates are $142 per night plus tax.

Meeting Goals:

1) To present initial data on antibiotic prescribing among ABX-TRIP participants to illustrate that there is room for improvement in judicious prescribing.

2) Share strategies practices have used to incorporate the CDS tool in their processes of care for acute respiratory infection.

3) Identify aspects of the CDS tool that practices have found helpful, not found helpful.

4) Identify strategies to help improve the CDS tool and its use to facilitate its intended goal of promoting judicious antibiotic use.
