A. MULTICOMPONENT LC-MS/MS ANALYSIS PER CLASS OF COMPOUNDS
Multiple analyses can be performed from a single sample, but each
class of compounds is priced separately.
Classes of compounds analyzed together:
- sphingoid bases (sphingosine, dihydro-sphingosine),
sphingoid base-1- phosphates (S1P, dhS1P), ceramide molecular
species (Cn-Cers)
- dihydro-ceramide molecular species
- alpha-hydroxy-ceramide molecular species
- diacyl-glycerol (DAGs) molecular species
- sphingomyelin (SM) molecular species
- dihydro-SM molecular species
- phytosphinghosine, phytosphingosine 1-phosphate and phytoceramide molecular species
- alpha-hydroxy-phytoceramide molecular species.
- hexosylceramide (glucosyl- and galactosyl-ceramide) molecular species
- lactosyl-ceramide molecular species
- ceramide 1- phosphate molecular species
- cellular level of an exogenously added sphingolipid analogs
Fee per analysis:
- MUSC users: $60.00
- HCC-MUSC users: $ 50.00
- Other academic users: $ 90.00
- Commercial users: $ 180.00
B. SPECIAL ANALYSES:
- Separated Glucosyl- and Galactosyl-ceramide species by SFC/MS/MS (an additional fee of $25.00 will be added to the basic analytical price)
- New method development ($75.00/h)
C. ADDITIONAL COST:
- Organic phosphate determination - $ 25.00 per sample
- Protein contest (tissue only) - $ 50.00 per sample

The Lipidomics Synthetic Core provides custom synthesis of the following lipids:
- Total synthesis of natural sphingolipids (4 isomers) from chiral precursors
- Design and synthesis of various inhibitors of sphingolipid metabolizing enzymes
- Design and synthesis of organelle-targeted ceramides and inhibitors of sphingolipid metabolizing enzymes
- Design and synthesis of molecular tools for metabolic and enzymatic studies: radiolabeled, fluorescent and 17C sphingolipids (containing unnatural backbone)
Charges for custom lipid synthesis are determined by the complexity of the target compounds. For custom synthesis, you must consult with Dr. Zdzislaw Szulc. You can reach him by email or call him at (843) 792-0755. |
