WHAT:
Spend three days working in student/teacher teams learning skills and concepts related to using NMR instruments with a focus on the determination of small molecule structures. Other opportunities include:

• Hands-on instruction using 700 & 800 MHz instruments
• Working with other students/faculty in collecting and analyzing NMR data for structural analysis
• Working with knowledgeable instructors including: Dr. Dan Bearden (NIST), Dr. Mirko Hennig (MUSC), Dr. Brendan Duggan (MUSC) and Dr. Peter Moeller (NOAA)

WHO: Space is available for 20 participants organized as student/faculty teams. College juniors/seniors will work with their faculty member to focus on using high-field NMR. Individuals, either student or faculty, may apply and be considered if space allows.

WHEN: Applications are due March 31. Summer camp dates are Monday, May 19 at 3pm through Thursday, May 22 at 4 pm.

WHERE: The NMR Summer Camp will be held at the Hollings Marine Laboratory on the Fort Johnson Marine Sciences Campus at 331 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412.

HOUSING: Housing accommodations will be provided at the College of
Charleston. Some meals will be included and travel subsidies may be available, subject to the availability of funding.
