Investigators submit DNA samples in eppendorf tubes marked with the name of the sample together with the filled out DNA Sequencing Submission Form.
Quality of the sequencing depends on the quality/purity of the DNA.
Amount of DNA required for sequencing: 0.5-1 mkg of double stranded plasmid, or 50-100 ng of PCR product.
To ensure the optimal quantity of DNA in a sequencing reaction we request to attach a gel image of the submitted samples with the indication of the amounts loaded, if such is available.
Custom primers are submitted at a concentration of 1.6 pmol/mkl in separate tubes.
Excess of the sample or primer is stored in the Facility for 2 month, then discarded, unless we are instructed otherwise.
